i just lifted my 97 about 2 months ago. i went with a fabtech 6" and it only took about 8 hours and a couple of buddies for some moral support. i'm runnin 35's and i just went from 3.55's to 4.56 its like night and day difference. not to mention i can pull a hill now.

I'd go ahead and get 4.88's if you are gonna run 37's or 38's. Also, you are gonna have to go with a full suspension lift on top of your body lift to fit a tire that large.

for 38" you will need to run a 6" suspension lift on top of the 3" body you got on there now, for gears i recomend 4.88 fabtech would be the lift i recomend. the cost of regearing varies from regions, but for the labor alone it is around $200-500 per axle. good luck.
