P0191 Code Help
I've searched the threads on this one and found a few, but none with any final solutions to it..
the P0191 code came on the other day
truck it running good and still strong!
i checked with the edge and got the FRP at 75 constant
so i'd quess the fpr sensor has gone bad...
BUT i also got on the edge (only) a p1237 fuel pump primariy circut malfunction.
Is there something else here .. TWO fuel pumps or a back-up circut?
any info would help..
thanks

Found the exact same code stored in mine last week. It's related to Fuel Rail Pressure - either high or low. It can also be the fuel pressure sensor going bad. I'm going to start by replacing my fuel filter because that could cause low fuel pressure if it's partially plugged. After that? We'll just wait and see. By the way, other than a hiccup one day on the way to work, it runs just fine.

I have had the code before but I had another issue also. The truck would buck and surge above 2500 RPM like it wasnt getting enough fuel. I changed the filter, that didnt help. I thought I had a bad tank of fuel but it still did it with new fuel. I thought I was going to have to change the fuel pump however, then I put in Sea foam (injection cleaner), that fixed the entire problem and never had the code again. filter $13 Sea Foam $8 me happy priceless.

I cleared the code with my superchip just after I put the seafoam in and it never came back. After I put the seafoam in it took most of the 1/2 tank of fuel for the surging problem to go away. You can also clear the code by unplugging the battery for a few minutes. If the code comes right back you may have other issues???

Update on my issue, Used Seafoam and replaced the fuel filter (needed both), but issue remained. Gave in and took it to the stealership and they found a bad fuel pressure sensor and replaced it. After diagnosis and parts and labor and tax and coffee and tea, it totalled $470. Problem solved though and I do fart much quieter now...
I'll check that part # and post it up this afternoon.
