3" Body Lift vs 6" lift

Not sure if there is already a thread on this but trying to make my mind up on 6" lift or 3" body lift, was hoping to get everybody to post pics of their 6" and 3" lifted trucks and give there opinion. Thanks!

Everything I've read says that it is a pain to install a body lift on the '04-'08 f150s. If you have a tow package it involves cutting the hitch and then re-welding after the lift is installed and I also read that the fan shroud is a pain to deal with on a body lift for these models. If you have the funds, I would recommend going with a 6" with coil overs. Truck looks good!

id go with the suspension unless you are installing the body lift yourself cause for the price of a bl installed you could get a full suspension lift just about

here is when i was lifted 6"

2.5'' leveling kit + 3'' body lift + 1 or 1.5'' add a leaf. (Will be taking off the leveling kit and putting a Fabtech 6'' in a couple of weeks).

Why am i going with a suspension lift. Simple, more clearance under the frame (protect the transmission, transfer case, front diff...) and i'll have stock angle up front (cv, direction, ball joint...) and when my tire wear out, i'll put 37''.

Thanks for the pic, I have a better ideal of what my truck will look like with a 6" lift, I am kinda stuck between the lifts 1. price 2. dont know how the 305/65/18 will look under 6".

Your truck looks great, by lookin at it i can not tell it is a body lift, i sent this pic to my wife to show her how my truck would sit, got quoted around 1050 for the 3" and the gap guards. Thanks again man

I will be keeping my 35'' for now. They're still good, but i'll be going with 37'' or 38'' max because the truck is my daily driver.

So the lift will be on in a couple of week, just need to order it. The tires and gear probably next year.

I'll probably keep half of my leveling kit, so it will be 6'' + 3'' + 1'' for a total of 10'' and if i want more lift down the road, i'll be able to put the other half in for an other 1.5''

no , the ride quality stays the same , the only things that will / might effect the ride, is if you put a leveling kit on top , and a more agressive/larger tire.

Body lift is nice for the price but I would just save up for a suspension lift

Heres my setup

3" Bds body lift
2.5 Leveling kit
20x10 mazzi hulks
35/12.5R20 Toyo mt's

Here are some of my most recent pics
